Express Rack 3

A rack from NASA’s Express Rack series is also installed in Columbus. Express Racks are versatile workhorses – “our Express Rack 3” demonstrates this: It runs virtually continuously, measuring the smallest accelerations and vibrations of the ISS. Like the two HRF racks, it is operated by NASA’s Payload Operations and Integration Center (POIC) in Huntsville, Alabama.
