Registration for a "Friday Tour" at the German Space Operations Center GSOC in Oberpfaffenhofen
Guided tours
On certain fixed dates we offer the possibility to participate in free guided tours at the German Space Operations Center GSOC. Normally it is the last Friday of each month – on special occasions we offer more dates, if possible
You can take a look inside the control rooms and get information about satellite operations, the experiments in the Columbus Space Laboratory and the life and work of the astronauts who are supported from here.
You will also see various satellite models, a model of the International Space Station ISS (1:25) and a Soyuz space capsule (1:5) as well as a real research rocket. You can also climb into a 1:1 model of the Columbus laboratory to get an idea of the working conditions on the space station.
The tours start at 3 p.m. each day with the meeting at the DLR gate and last approx. 1.5 to 2 hours (in German). The number of participants is limited to about 50 people. You are allowed to take photos during the tour, but please note that these photos may only be used for private purposes.
We recommend arriving by public transport, as unfortunately there are not enough visitor parking spaces available.
For dates and times, please see the choices in the form. Dates that are already fully booked will not be shown again until bookings have been cancelled. ADMISSION FREE!
